| tirley on the 31/03/10 well me and my mate carl arrived at tirley at about 6.45am thinking we would beat the crowds and were let in about 7am. of course because we were prepared we ended up having the whole lake to ourselves!!  . any way with the choice of pegs we decided to fish on the far side opposite the two islands. i cast the right hand rod tight to the far island with a solid pva bag with two pop up grains of plastic corn on the hair and the left hand rod was positioned under some willows on the left hand island. it didnt take long and half an hour later i banked what turned out to be the biggest of the day a lovely 18lb mirror! the runs were fairly frequent throughout the day and i had 3 on each rod so cant complain! my mate carl had 2 and lost 2 so he did ok aswell. overall it was a good day and was good to have a few on the bank!  cheers!    18lb pretty much fully scaled mirror.   15lb 8oz  a nice golden 12lber  bend in the rod!   carls biggest, 12lb  in the net!   a very sad looking carp! lol thanks to carl for the lovely photos!  __________________ ><((((*> fish to live, live to fish!! ><((((*> please join my facebook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Burley...5223465?ref=ts     |
