| River Avon (Durrington) Has anyone fished the River Avon, near Durrington. I live a stones throw from this river and am going to fish there when the season opens on 14th April (Day Pass £7.50), just wondering what fish i am likely to encounter and see if there are any hints and tips i need to know. can i use the same set up as if i was fishing a lake eg. ledger(swim feeder) and float (pelet waggler) ![]() __________________ Men and fish are alike. There is no official closed season on still waters. but some clubs still enforce a closed season on their stillwaters so you need to find out whether you can fish beforehand. There must be some stillwaters near you that you can fish until the rivers open again. __________________ My Web Site (The Average Coarse Angler) Happiness is Fish Shaped (It used to be woman shaped but the wifes getting on a bit now) |

| Re: River Avon (Durrington) Many thanks for that info. Every day is a school day, learn something new everyday. I was not told anything about closed seasons when I enquired about fishing on the river. ![]() __________________ Men and fish are alike. They both get into trouble when they open their mouths. |
