Upcoming trip to Richmond lakes-Help!!

I will be having a 48 hour session on Richmond lakes near Lincoln in a few weeks,
This will be my first overnighter fishing for big carp so I just wondered if anyone had any good tips, baits, methods etc for this venue of just in general. Ive caught carp before but my PB is only 8lb something. Im just not sure how to approach this , do I spod in loads of bait or use a pva methods ect ect, also end tackle, do i use coated braid or will normal be OK
Please help !! any tips will be greatly appreciated
