| Re: Longleat tomorrow Brother picked me up sat at 6.30am got to the entrence at 6.50am with 3 vans and 2 cars befor us. Drove to the top carpark and unloaded the kit onto my barrow. Got down to the lake to find only 5 people fishing 2 guys grabed the first swim and 2 others on the road side towards the island. Me and my brother set up on the road side middle of the lake. We walked round and spoke to them found out 2 where going at 12 and 1 at 1pm in the corner near the dam. The 2 guys that jumped in the first swim where just doing the day till 6pm. So my brother said about moveing when they go as the fish where comeing out along the dam wall so just used the minumum gear and left the rest on the barrow. Just after 12 my dad turnd up so gave him a hand with his gear and told him the plan. My brother and dad moved into the 2 swims after the two guys went. Then at just befor 1 i moved into the corner swim by the dam. Just after that my brother hooked into a nice mirror carp at 18lb. Then at 1.17pm i had a flyer of a take and landed a 18lb mirror. My brother decided to stay put rather than doubble up with me till the guys in there first swim go at 6pm. They where doing well takeing afew carp each. Then at 2.28pm i had a run whilst inside my dads bivvy trying to fit his new extender wrap. I rushed over at picked up the rod to find a hard fighting carp got him in and tiped the scales at 18 1/2lb. Then at 5.17 had a nice take with a nice round mirror on the mat said it looks smaller than the 18s but was suprised it weighed havyer at 19lb was alot wider than the others. Made some bacon butties for me and my dad. Then at 6pm gave my brother a hand with his barrow to move to the 1st swim opposite me. Went back round and baited my spots with pellets. All was quiet so made a cupper at 8pm tided up and then in bed by 9pm on my phone on the internet on here and other sites till 1am then at 2.11am my reciver went off few beeps sliped on my trainers was in jeans t-shirt and a thin hoddie then it belted of grabed the rod hit into another hard |

| Re: Longleat tomorrow Hard fighting mirror that decided to take out 1 of my other lines. Put up a hard fight picked up my landing net to find it frozzen diped it into the water got the carp into the net unhooked and weighed him at 17 1/2lb. Put him back just recast 1 rod out as the other was very tangled. Got into bed then at 4.18am had a 18lb common. Then followed by a 16lb mirror at 5.11am then at 5.37am a common a 17lb. That was it so no sleep had a tea at 6am lead in bed till 9ish then the final 1 was at 10.28am i saved the best till last lol a 22 1/2lb mirror. Packed up slowly as my brother decided to stay on till 6pm. So had to go home at 1pm with my dad. Had a very good session. |
