Well done guys, some cracking fish.....Lordwalk is a great stretch for catching grayling.....you almost guranteed to catch them there by the dozen......I might have a few hrs there myself on Sunday.....I should fish it more as it is virtually on my doorstep lol

Not much to add to what Steves already said. A cold downstream wind did not make fishing easy. But fishing a fairly heavy 4aaa Avon float with the shot bulked up down the line, soon had me amongst a good shoal of Grayling, interspersed with a few hard fighting Brownies. All fish were taken on red maggot. The Grayling fed steadily throughout the day & only dropped back downstream when I bumped or lost a fish. Then it was just a case of steady feeding to pull the fish back upstream. My best Grayling weighed about 1 1/2lb & best Brownie about 3lb. The Grayling give an incredible account of themselves on light tackle in the strong current. They just raise up that magnificant dorsal fin & kite accross the river.
