on the 9th of march me and a mate will be doing 48h at http://www.carpenterslake.com/ 3 anglers can fish if someone wants to join us there is a space.

the website is abit out of date the lake has benn extended to over 2acres and its been stocked with more carp recently.

this season it hasnt been fished that often so think im in with a good chance of a few nice carp.

also hopefully a crusion too.

Havent fished it befor dos look a nice lake and some nice carp.

After looking on the website and speeking to neil on the phone afew times and liveing local decied todo a session tuesday morning till thursday. My brother took me over to the lake. When we got there on first inpressions the lake looked good drove down to the cabin where neil and my mate was. After chating to neil me and my brother walked round the lake looking for the right spot. We didnt see any sign of life. Decided on a swim where the wind was blowing into a weed bed and had a spot that was hidden from the wind by the island. Walked back to the cabin and unloaded the car put all my kit onto my barrow and off i went.

My mate put his gear in neils quad and went round to the next peg.

Got to my peg unload my barrow set up my rods fired in so boilies and placed my bait by the weed and island.

After my mate had unloaded neil came over to check i was ok. Then went off to grab another net,sling and carp mat.

When neil came back i had just finished puting up my bivvy and had the kettle going. I asked neil more about my swim and pointed out a over hanging branch that a few carp had came out from. I changed my bait and flicked my bait next to it with no freebies. Started to chat to neil and make my tea. Just after an hour my bobbin shot up and hit my rod and started to take line. Grabed the rod fish on. Thought looks like im in for a good session.
After about 5mins i lost the fish in an old lilly bed. That was it for the rest of the session had a few liners but no carp on the bank. My mate also blanked.


Neils a top guy that knows his stuff Hes put alot of thought into his lake its one of the best lakes ive fished i do like my small waters well done neil.

Neil also went home and lent my mate some but rest as my mate left his at home thanks neil.


Will be booking a session next month and afew more thro the year.
