| A few hours at Higher Farm JP and I spent a couple of hours at Higher farm this afternoon. It seemed quite warm when I left, but when I got to the fishery it was much colder. We opted to try the lower lake, as its shallower and would have thawed quicker and been warmed by the rain we had. Bites were plentiful, but all from small fish, we had a good time tho, and watching floats slip away in a nice environment was great, as I had not had the chance to cast a line. We had gudgeon, roach, rudd and JP had a small carp. Fun. | Re: A few hours at Higher Farm What was nice, was the tips of our floats on the water, which as sunset approached and the 'colour tempreture' warmed up, As the light changed the surface became 'millpond' still. Wonderful, the fact the fish rarely weighed mroe than an ounce was irrelevent. __________________ Ignore the margins at your peril |
