Re: New Hay nr Howden

change of plan we swopped venues and went to fish the small pond which we attempted when the big freeze was on
North Cave Howden
well pleasantly surprised it was a cold start started on the pole size 20 hook a light elastic no 8.. with a 2lb bottom first chuck small roach and skimmers regularly but kept pulling out of the bigger fish so i upgraded to an 18 hook with a lighter elastic i switched from maggot to 4 mm pellet and bang the bigger bream moved in feeding with toss pot a few pellets topped with some green swimstim groundbait (just a pinch at a time) did the trick lovley.......caught steadilly all day long although the carp were not showing up today ........... worth another visit when it warms up for sure
