thanks for the comments and advice chaps,
shall be down tommrow and the weekend as got no work.
il will defo have a crack further down,i will be using white crumb,hemp,maggots ,with liquid sausage and hemp mixed in think the smell will do well with a good bit of colour in the water.
speaking to a mate about the stour he's had a barbel out down there who i'll be going with tommorow and he was telling me about some lads who fish further up in springfield park just as a stream joins the river and they've had several CARP!! about 8or9 i i think so no fluke and these lads i know are good fisherman who catch allsorts form unknown places i shall find out more about it.the stream goes through about 6-7 pools all the way from blake down lady pool,hurcott,podmore and the stack so im guessing the fry got washed down through the drains maybe exciting stuff imo though.
anyway keep you posted how i get on down there.

howdy chaps had my first barbel tonight 3lbs, 8 chub and a roach,mate had a 5lb barbel 3 perch ,5 chub and a eel
yesterday went and had 12 chub averaging 80z two around a 1lb couple of dace, roach and a perch

had aonther today around 5 1/3/-6 lost one earlier had it up 3 times ready to land but mate was to slow with net then put it in spooked and snapped was around same size as oone i had after
few pics from a few i've had the past week or so

had a couple of hours down earlier had another plus a few small chub,roach and gudgeon was around 6 and a halfgave me a great fight best yet shot off downstream about 60yards round a bend lol
