Fishing to a Date

It had been two weeks since I have wet a line and I was chewing at the bit to get out.
I spoke to Claudia on Thursday to see if she fancied fishing this Saturday, see said she did, so I said to Claudia that I would check out Crockerton to see if it was still frozen and if not we would fish Crockerton. On arrival at the lake on the Friday I found that the lake was still frozen, so I thought that if we fished the Nadder on Saturday we should be ok. Claudia agreed and that was the plan set.

We meet at my house at 8:30 and headed off to the Nadder, on arrival the river was heaving through, but we said we would give it ago. So we choose our pegs and attempted to fish. Both Claudia and I tried to hold bottom and we couldn’t. I tried fishing a small piece of slack water but to no avail. After a couple of hours we both agreed that we were flogging a dead horse. And maybe Crockerton was fishable now due to the thaw, and maybe it was worth looking into.

So we headed to Crockerton only to find the lake was still frozen. So we decided that we go out on a Date and head to the pictures. So back to my place for a spot of lunch and then we headed to the VUE at Longwell Green Bristol.

We choose the following film to watch and sat down with a huge bucket of popcorn and drinks and enjoyed the film.

A great day in the end just a shame about the Fishing, well there is always next weekend.

Think it will be back to normal by next weekend if the river is ok will give foxham ago for pike on sat.
Maybe a dabble over crocks on sun morning????

That last pic is one of the swims I fished last I went to the Nadder, had some bites but did not connect. Well done for trying the fish anyway.

Well, it was a shame that everything was unfishable but a good film in good company made up for it.....ohhh and the popcorn yummyyyyy

But our 'dating wkend' is not over yet lol....Steve is on his way to mine, he is going to help me to sort my fishing tackle caos out....bless him, he doesn't know what he is letting himself in too........I'll be sitting upstairs to watch a few DVD's whilst he is sorting all the gear out ;-) lol....well, that's my plan anyway hehehe

Pingu...you are sooooooo dead...make sure you will bring your arm bands coz you are going for a swim at the Zander meet lol lol lol lol...........unless of course, you will apologies with some 'REAL' pingu pies ;-) lol
