| Im from the u.k and moved to new zealand a few years back and used to do a bit of course fishing and big rudd were pretty much the main target...recently while spinning for trout on Lake karapiro in N.Z i've "accidentally" hooked and landed several predatory rudd that would dwarf the typical resident trout population. I have not weighed any fish as yet but my old man and I reckoned that the 4 Rudd caught have ranged from 3-4lbs over two attempts. Will have to get the scales out and go for a 5 or 6 pounder!! At this size, could a rudd record be in the bag in the future?? Cheers |
