| Barbel frim the Teme . Just a quick post. Went to the Teme with the intenton of catching barbel and caught loads.....of leaves. Nope , blanked on barbel again. The reason for going to the Teme was to try to knock grayling off the "to catch for the first time" list. After a couple of hours of maggot feeder fishing I decided to stick an avon on and run it through to see if anything was about and sure enough a small grayling came to the rig. So not entirely a blank and I've only got crucian carp to get off the list now (might have left it a little late there though). This is a beautifiul river and even with the conveyor belted compst heap coming down it was still better than a day at the office. I've decided that my Teme barbel approach is far too static so I'm going extra light next time. I ight even just take my fly waistcoast and bass bag to stop me getting lazzy. __________________ Just remember, not all the heroes died. www.helpforheroes.org.uk |

| Re: Barbel frim the Teme . Well, old bertie barbel is still eluding me. Well done on your Grayling, I've only had one, whichcame as a bit of a suprise, only downside was its fins were a bit tatty, I guess it had been caught several times before and badly netted. Barbel will still carry on getting bigger. |
