| 2hours at local pond with the weather being crap again this year i try and make the most of it when its clear ,got back from work at 4 and the sun was out so i grabbed my heavy fedder rod that was still setup with a method rig and walked ten minutes to a local ex brick mill pond with a little bit of mainly fishmeal gbait and sweet corn i baited up and cast out after about an hour of no bites a old fella was walking past and he said do you want some bread i was bangin em out yesterday on it he said ,as soon as i got up to get the bread my rod bounced of the rod rest i played the fish and landed it much to the shock of the old fella it was a mirror carp about 15 pound the bloke didnt think there where carp in there that big neither did i the pool is only half the size of a 5a side pitch , so i then tried a bit of bread on top and within 3 bread changes i had hooked in to a carp that felt bigger than the last when i got it in it was a smaller common about 10 pound i was shocked at the fight it put up in comparison by then a group of chavs had formed and any chance of another fish of the top was gone i must say it was probably one of the best short sessions ive had will be back again tomorrow minus the chavs i hope cheers chris will try and find the lead for me camera to upload photos |
