fishing report

hi guys this is a report of yesterdays fishing session

7:00 am - me and my dad arrived at shireoaks pond and decided on wich peg to fish, having chosen our pegs we both decided to do some feeder fishing both casting close to a willow tree in the middle of the pond. it was a good start first cast my dad had a a nice roach on the bank i on the otherhand was getting some good bites but was failing to connect with them however i did'nt take long for me to get my first fish of the day a little skimmer.

9:00 am - by this time both me and my dad had plenty of fish mainly skimmers and roach the sport was fantastic nearly a fish every chuck.

10:30 am - it semed to have gone a bit dead know but all of a sudden my tip wrapped around and it could feel i was hooked into a much larger fish than the ones previously caught it was putting up a good scap on light tackle and i was delighted as it surfaced to find out it was a chub and a good sized one to. This made my day as it was my first of the species and weighed 3lb 6ounce a new pb!!


2:00 - the little fish where sitll showing in my peg my dad's swim had semmed to have gone dead i had loads of skimmers and a few more smaller chub


5:00 - as normal all the little fish where still showing and the odd chub would come around evey now and again. i decided to go around and see how my dad was doing in his peg after watching him for about 10mins i decided to head back to my swim just as i was heading back his tip warpped around a fantastic bite you could tell he was into a decent fish. it turned out to be a decent bream weighing 4lb 8 ounce a new pb for my dad.


7:00 - by this time the bigger fish seemed to be showing and we both managed several bream to about the 3lb mark. overall a good days fishing and will be looknig foward to returing to the venue
