Where to go? Right i am going fishing tomorrow but not sure where to go. I want a stillwater just not sure whether to go to:- 1. Harescombe - most local to me didn't enjoy it there last time, but decent fishing usually. 2. Glos Old Spot - Had a good time there last time i fished, but no the biggest venue. 3. Staunton - Never actually fished there yet, not sure why just never really felt professional enough of a fisherman to sit there with my little float package!!! 4. Staunton Court park - Never fished there but i did go and have a look and it looked a nice little spot. These are about the only places i know, have heard of others but not sure how to get to them or where they actually are, quite happy to travel within about a 15 mile radius of Gloucester if anyone else knows any or has any preferences let me know. By the way i only like to float fish, just a personal preference and it has always served me well.

Re: Where to go? Have you fished the Gloucester / sharpness canal?some nice fish in there I think, also gives you a chance to catch something different & you can float fish it. Think you'd have to go to your local tackle shop to find out where you get tickets though. Good luck wherever you end & tight lines. __________________ So many types of fishing ... so little free time...

Re: Where to go? It was just a bad day allround really, didn't catch too much, the place was packed and i just thought or wondered if it was being just a little over-fished perhaps. Maybe completely wrong ofc.

Re: Where to go? A canal would be good normaly quiet and lots of silver fish. Or maybe river. Depends what fish your targeting to venue.

Re: Where to go? Ben see Richard (forum admins) zander fishing report, apparently there are zander up to 14lb in there. I fished it for years & never caught one however if I would of known they were in there perhaps I'd of targeted them. __________________ So many types of fishing ... so little free time...
