| went to brashes pond today. Absolute feezing cold, but that doesnt bother you when you are catching fish. i caught the first mirror carp on floating bread after 10000 attemps of trying to get crap co-op bread to stay on the hook. then i caught the common on bread in a little gap at the bottom of a tree after loosing 50000 floats. and then i caught the small carp on luncheon meat is it a crucian carp or just a common ? |

| Re: Brashes pond Great catch. well done, and a couple of nice sized Crucians as well. ![]() NB. A easy way to tell whether it is a Crucian or Common Carp is that a Crucian doesn't have any Barbules, whereas a Common or Mirror has barbules. although inter-breeding between other members of the carp family are not that uncommon making it even harder to distinguish a true Crucian. __________________ My Web Site (The Average Coarse Angler) Happiness is Fish Shaped (It used to be woman shaped but the wifes getting on a bit now) |
