i needed that

got to my chosen venue at 0500,it was just about getting light,
the lake looked good and i set up in a swim that had been good to me in the past,

it wasnt the busiest of days,i didnt get that many bites, but every fish i had was over 1/2 pound, not a tiddler in sight,
i ended up with 8 perch to 1 1/2 lb and half a dozen roach and rudd up to a pound,
i had a couple of carp baits out all day that didnt get touched
it wasnt the easiest of days,a strong cross wind made float fishing tricky but it sure blew off the cobwebs

Re: i needed that

That does look like a nice spot, sometimes its just the 'being there', not the fish that make a days fishing.

Talking Re: i needed that

Nice one Paul keep up the good work, sounds like you did better than me I had 1 bream from 2pm till 9pm on the royalty. I tried everything mate baited the swim for a couple of hours before even chucking in & waded out across the shallows like a nutter or something just to drop my rig into the hole i'd been baiting & even seen fish in there but to no avail, might come down Kent & see how a real angler does it since you seem to be doing better than me

Rob.
