| Shillingford and new forum record I finished work last friday and decided to go and fish shillingford. I set up on the bottom lake using marine hallibut pellet fished over a small bed of monster tiger nut 4mm pellet. I put roughly 1/2 pond out in lose feed and was using pva stocking with them in as added ground bait. Everything was quiet for the 1st 30 mins then all hell broke lose. Both rods screemed of and the balif had to land one for me they were a couple of small ghostie carp round the 3-5 lb range. We had a laugh paid my money and sent both rods back out. I only had to wait minuets for the next bite which was a little skimmer round the pound mark. I was quite surprised about the run it had. I was constantly bringing in little carp and then it happened again when a angler came down from the middle lake to see how it was fishing and both rods went off again. I had a nice 9lb ghostie and a 7lb ghostie again landed with the assistance of another angler. By now the water was very brown and disturbed by the carps feeding. When my rod almost ended in the lake 15 mins later a super 15lb ghostie was on the bank. after checking i also believe this to ne a new ghost record http://www.fishing-forum.info/pictur...pictureid=1452 also this is the eel i had a while back but didnt get round to posting.
