| Crockerton and the hunt for points Got the week off work so with the weather forecast looking good decided to grab a few hours at crockerton in search of a few points. Popped into steves tackle to get some maggots and then off to the lake After having a look around the lake settled in on peg 6 plenty of little fish topping to keep Sam happy. Set up a waggler and was soon into the roach pretty much a fish a chuck also managed a couple of small perch yipeee points for the hunt. After bout half hr of pulling in small stuff left sam with that rod and set up quiver with a cage feeder to fish a area about 30m out which was fizzing with lots of tiny bubbles. Missed the first couple of tiny knocks probably liners but then a decent bite and a short scrap resulted in what i thought a nice male tench, next cast resulted in a Bream had couple more Bream and few more roach on the float before it was time togo. Was good to get out fishing even if it was just a couple of hours, still got some points for the hunt.     |
