Best day so far

Just back from some great sport,started fishing at 7.30 until 1pm.Set up the Carp rod with running ledger baited with home made bollie on a size 10 hair.then float fished again with size 10 hook,baited with sweetcorn.
Not many minutes went by before the Rudd come on to feed,nice ones too,mostly in the quarter pound range,finished up catching 47 of these,in between I also caught a lovely Tench weighing in at 5.2lb.
Mid morning the buzzer went and the line screamed off like mad,hooked into a "big"one,silly me,not adjusted the new reel correctly and so put too much pressure on the fish,lost it and also thought that it had broken me BUT no,the fish had actually BENT the hook!!.
Hour later the line screamed off again,this time no mistakes and I landed a lovely 10.6lb.Common.
Very pleased with this great day's sport.

Sounds like a great session, the carp was on a home made bait, that always make them twice as good as one caught on a shop bought boilie.
