| well I had a couple of hours spare in between taxing daughter arround this eve and with weather report looking dire for weekend i decided to spend the hours on river for a wee bit before unfishable so after dropping daughter at 6.30 i was at river for 7 ![]() went straight to bend as decided from off only to do first stretch water was really low and a hint coloured from todays rain ![]() ![]() I had decided to take 2 rods, 1 floating and other on maggot feeder and ledger( never really tried before) was struggling with loads of small bites on float rod and just couldnt connect whan the ledgerd rod swung round and ohh yes fish on and my best ever chub ![]() ok so not massive but i was chuffed swim was really not working and that horrid fine rain was on its way in so i moved back towards car tried floating again and at last my quarrey decided to actually hook itself rather than nick the bait ![]() so i decide on the feeder again for a bit and after missing 2 slamming takes( this aint as easy as seems) i managed a good roach and then what i afterwards think was a dace that i put back quickly as had been deephooked( bugger that was points as well, have to go back for another) then at the death the rod went round again and the recent pb was broken again ![]() again no monster by all the freshwater anglers on here but well chuffed again, 1 target fish found 2 found a better tecnique to get to them ![]() by now the drizzle was horrid and the pacaway shower proof jacket just didnt hack it so a celebratory pint on way home was calling a good couple of hours , points, a pint and bodes well for weekends escapades ![]() ![]() dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives |
