Mells pit pond

Got to the lake at 6am not a bad looking lake. Was empty set up opposite the island. Had a few carp around 2lb a 2lb tench and some nice roach.
Great weather sat in the sun.

ended up with loads of carp between 2lb and 7lb great lake if all ur after is a bend in the rod from a carp.

no ducks at the lake and only 2 moorehens so great lake for floaters the carp where cueing up to take the floaters.

When I tried the post code into google earth, only a bit came up and I could not scroll around.

From frome follow all the signs to mells. Go thro frome heading towards vobster at the vobster crossroads turn right follow the road till you see the fishery sign (opposite the newbury turn)
Turn right again follow the track to the carpark and lake.
Postcode is BA11 3RH. Its £6 a day dawn to dusk. Only a 1 1/2 acre lake carp to 20lb bream and tench to 5lb perch to 3lb also roach and crucian carp.
Its behind The landrover garage.
Its 5min up the road from edneys fisheries. Lake 1 and 3 are only a field over from mells.

The banks and platforms arnt very good ure in the middle of trees and away from the road so very quite and piecefull.

Would give it another go soon.

Endneys is only a field over from mells if you look on google earth. But the entrence is the other side mells is next to an industrial estate with a landrover garage there.
