| The War Rages on Last Saturday saw both Ian and Myself at Todber Manor on the “Whitepost lakes” We decided to fish the bottom lake; today was going to be the “Pole vs. The Wagglar” Ian on the Pole and of course me on the Wagglar. Well the stakes were high as honor and pride were held at stake and final prize of a £1.00 bet. Therefore, we decided our battle stations and once we were ready, the battle commenced. For some reason unknown to each of us, we decided that we would fish Red Sweet Corn. I could hear Ian catching the better quality fish as I struggled to get a bite. However, I had confidence in catching and it was not long before I started to land F1 carp. However as the match wore Ian told me that he had a Crucian Carp (Damn 1.5 points for the Moonrakers) Well as the match progressed, I started to build a good head of small F1’s by the end of the match, Ian weighed in at 19lb 4ozs, and I piped him at the post with 20lb 4ozs. With Battle won, Team Solent/Avon now need to win the war. Here are a few of the pictures of us at Whitepost. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() __________________ Born to fish made to work |
