Out for a Couple of Hours

Headed out this morning after getting a phone call last night at about 10.00 to arrange a nice surprise session,

The day was very bright from the start, there was no cloud cover and the lake was in full sun

The day started cery slow on the pike front but there was some nice silver fish showing for me, with a few nice roach some reaching 1/2lb or maybe a bit over, there was also some nice rudd knocking about, but i failed to land and large ones that i hooked

The pike continued to be very slow, with only one drop back, but i decided to sink and draw a small perch deadbait and when i was bring it past the lilly bed .. BANG!! it was hit by a very welcome 8lb pike, Didn't really get a good picture of it but this will have to suffice,

Well i blame the sun for the poor show of pike but still had an enjoyable few hours.
