brockhurst moat Gosport

just returned from fishing brockhurst moat in gosport
i had never fished there before so i thought i would give it a try
decided to fish 2 rods from peg no.1 one on float with maggot the second method feeder with crab pellet
on the float rod lots of bites, caught a few very small perch (started to become a real pain) and the second was great had 4 bream between 6-12lbs and a carp about 9-10lbs
i would recomend this moat
if you can i would try and get on peg 1 and fish to the left of the wall.

Re: brockhurst moat Gosport

i was talikng to the ballif and he say there is a 19lber
pike is also a bit of a problem as you are not alowed to catch them when you catch a small fry you have to watch the pike that sits by the peg as he will have the minnow and hes about 6lb

Re: brockhurst moat Gosport

Brockhurst Moat Gosport, that sure brings back memories. I used to fish that and other moats when I was in the Royal Navy back in the 70's. nice to hear that Brockhurst still going strong.
