Help needed lakes in Newquay area

Going down to perranporth / newquay area at the end of this month and will be doing 3 or 4 days pleasure fishing. For last 3 years mate and I have been to MeadowSide lakes, it's now a 'members' only venue, and charge £80 to join so that is out of question.

I wonder if Gwinear pool is now re open after the fish wipeout and if anyone has any infomation on fishing it, they do not have a web site.

Also has anyone any info on Mawgan Porth Pool, its a bit far from where I am staying but sounds a good venue.

I know about white acres but not staying there so wont be fishing their waters.
