| Lochmaben Well on tuesday I will be making my third trip up to lochmaben this year for a bit of piking. We keep heading to Castle loch which seems to be decent. First attempt was poor, without even a bite, though that may be due to our inexperience and the fact that we were using bait. Last time we went, we had a lot more luck. I had been to John Norris' before hand and bought myself some of their flying condoms and a Rappala jointed, which resulted in having the same pike chasing my lure twice before I eventually landed iton the Rappala, and had another chasing it 4 times but never got it on (I really have to get my reeling speeds in check ), and a bit later on once my mate had borrowed one of my flying condoms after being fed up with bait landed one too. This time I think we are going to start off in Mill loch first and see how it goes.So has anyone else been up there? How was it? Any recomendations? |
