| Cobbleacre Lake Norfolk Fished here today with my son, thought we'd give it a seound go. Still can't take to the place, i can't put my finger on it but it just doesn't feel right, i just don't like the place. Fishing was okay. We fished the lake called Amy, which is suposed to to be a carp match lake with, according to their website, carp 3-7lb a prolific head of tench, roach, rudd, perch, ide, chub, and barbel. we were able to catch rudd every cast on maggot, better fish were taken on corn or paste. we caught about 30/40 each to half lb. I also caught 11 crucian to 1.5lb, 1 perch 0.75lb, 1 tench 0.5lb all on paste. Every crucian carp had something wrong with it, wounds and sores, one was even suffering from bloat. Make sure you have your own bait, food and drink as the tackle shop and burger van hardly ever seem to be open. The tea and coffee is terrible, don't even be tempted to try it. Don't forget to get your day ticket from the unmarked box on the porta cabin before you fish. I will be giving this place a miss from now on. |

| Re: Cobbleacre Lake Norfolk Each Person finds a lake or water they don't like, and it doesn't mater how many people tell you its great, you just know that you don't like it. I have venues i wont fish because of the way the venues are run or the state of the fish etc. half of the enjoyment of fishing is enjoying the venue. regards, Steve __________________ Born to fish made to work |
