Lakeview fishery Melton Mowbray Hi all, I'm off to Lakeview tomorrow for a full day of fun! I've fished there 2 or 3 times but never in the winter, and am hoping for tench and carp. Does anyone have any tips for bait and methods for this time of year? I'll be using a quiver tip and carp rod, (I don't do poles!) Any advice would be much appreciated, even which lakes are fishing as there seem to be dozens there! Cheers Chappa

I agree with Geejayy. Maybe add a touch of pickle LOL. Seriously though, sweetcorn or luncheon meat are probably a good bet for the smaller carp. A single flouro pop-up boilie might sort out the better fish. __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey...

Re: Lakeview fishery Melton Mowbray Cheers all! I had about 10 fish- very small roach on maggot and caster, and common carp to about 1.5lb, on a running ledger, (hair rigged tripple corn on a size 10 hook!) They must be feeding well to take a hook that big? Anyhow I thoroughly enjoyed myself, after all the blanking and single fish days of the last few months! Roll on Angel of the North on Monday
