| silt lake does it again another day at tilgates silt lake has provided yet more bounty & a 1st for me ... having arranged to pick lilman up after his exam this morning, we went back over to tilgate for some stress relief. we got our hooks in the water about 11.30. a few minutes in & i had a big bite, struck, but it fell off the hook (still getting used to barbless hooks). afte a while, another big bite that nearly pulled my carp rod off the pod, after a fight, i got it to my landing net & it was a nice sized tench. after that, i landed a small roach & lilman landed a skimmer bream. we both missed a few more bites & had some fall off the hook. we were both pleased with our bag, even though it was only the 3. we weighed the tench using my new digital scales (zero'd with weighing sling on it) & it showed a weight of 4lb10oz. pics in my albums, will put into this thread in a mo ... __________________ www.mobilespanner1.co.uk     |
