Here's a few suggestions, there is a book called 'where to fish in the southwest', also tackle shops could be agold mine of infomation. Reading the weeklies, esp the match reports shouold give you an idea of whats been caught where. Don't ignore commmercials, the carp may be no1 target, but silvers get fat on the bait that goes in, just tend not to take the boilies.

Haven't been course fishing in years but my dad still fishes every Sunday.

Theres quite a few places around but Milemead at Tavistock and Coombe at Kingsbridge are the two places i used to catch plenty every time
