| Welsh barbel success Went fishing yesterday evening on the Taff (don't want to say where, sorry) for a couple of hours. Fished about an hour into darkness with boilies and a feeder with 3mm halibut pellets. Caught a chub about 3lb, then barbel of 10lb, 13lb, 7lb and 4lb. Also lost a good'un. Barbel and chub both pb's. All weighed on Avon scales. No pix unfortunately. Very chuffed indeed! Seems this mild week we've had has turned the fish on a bit. Fished the Wye at Ross last week and had 6 barbel but non the size of the Taff fish. Both rivers seem to be fishing best just as the light is fading. KKyum |

| Re: Welsh barbel success Knowing nothing about barbel I have no idea where you were on the river. Nowhere near that really good chub swim before the NRA wrecked it by removing the tree I guess. Great to see my favourite river doing so well these days. I predict that the Taff and the barrage will become an absolute fishing mecca once the word is fully out and fishing is allowed in the bay . 550 acres of prime fishing and Torchwood filming to liven things up. __________________ Just remember, not all the heroes died. www.helpforheroes.org.uk |
