And The Nature reserve!

hey, two reports in as many days, im using up my free time quite well methinks.

so carrying on the onslaught up the points table, i decided id go down to the local pond in search of a few roach, maybe a crucian here and there with a pint of maggots and a waggler set up.

so off i went, to see about 8 or 9 of the people who ruin the pond on a weekly basis there, so i set up as far away as possible and bait up the swim. and within 2 minutes, i had roach and crucians boiling on the surface for the loose feed. time to fish!

and as predicted, almost a 100% guarantee with this pond, the roach bit within 5-10 seconds of the float hitting the water.

this is the pick of the lot, not for size but condition...i lost a good one (6-8oz) because i was fishing barbless of course and when i went to lift it in, it rolled and swam off.

this carried on, and then when the people i was on about came over and asked if we had caught anything, me and dad both kept a wary eye on him because its not uncommon for them to do this as you get a bite and nick off with a couple of your floats or hook packets. but we watched him walk off empty handed.

then as the rain came down yet again, and got quite intense, i decided "right. last fish" (notice not last cast ) and after 3 or 4 missed bites, i landed another 1.5 in the form of a nice little 3 or 4 oz crucian



so 3 points in the bag we headed off home in the rain, leaving the pond ruining chavs to do what they will. ive decided im going to write to whoever has authority over the nature reserve and get something done because it is in a bad way.
