| A wet couple of hours fishing by the cut. Sunday went for a couple of hours back at the Staffs Worcester again. This time it was the pole that was getting the kinks ironed out and as I was not starting till 7 and it was a day before school the girls didn't come this time. Plan was to fish the pole at 9.3 M and see what I could catch by concentrating the feed etc. Put a few balls of match groundbait mixed with plain brown and maggots in an attempt to get some bigger fish heads down. The result was a load of small roach, some rudd, a perch and two gudgeon. Fed a bit better this time so wasn't laying down a B52 carpet bombed feed trail this time. Considering the rain it wasn't a complete waste of time. Catch was 17 Roach and Rudd (it did take about three of these tiddlers before I realised they weren't roach, doh!) 2 gudgeon 1 Perch. Nothing of any real size , what the heck it was still better than being in the office. Unfortunately I am on standby this week so as I have to respond in less than half an hour it isn't really practical, I might just go anyway :) Cheers all. __________________ Just remember, not all the heroes died. www.helpforheroes.org.uk |
