| nailors lakes carp bash with working silly hour at work my boss told me to have rest of the day off and rest.... how could i say no , so i head to justins bigger lake armed with beers bait and fly rod with some carp in mind. i chucked bit of bread out and had loads of tiny silvers and couple of small carp on the feed. and 3rd cast i was in to my first carp on a fly, no monster but still a first.  after that u i set up a carp rod cast out and ground baited , then i set up my feeder rod with bread and had well over 20 carp up to 2lb on it.i also had doozen or so more carp on my fly rod during this time my carp rod never moved for 4 hour then somthing happened and i a had 5 carp in a hour on it, 1st 3lb, 2nd 4 1/4lb, 3rd 3 1/2lb , 4th 4 3/4lb ,5th 2 1/2lb ish then it went dead again , so i head home hears a couple of piccys of the bigger 1s   busy day and a nice rest from work, cheers john __________________ http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...xt80382370.gif     |

| Re: nailors lakes carp bash lol...................looking for easy life at the moment and would not have gone down well if i gone down to my boat and gone out when ment to be resting .....lol buzzers and some strange looking thing that looks bit like a peice of bread. at woodington fishery thay speicalize in carp on the fly during the summer. wish the bigger carp had hit the fly but cant have it all. still good start and can only get better __________________ http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...xt80382370.gif |

 Re: nailors lakes carp bash Nice catch John. Been meaning to try fly fishing for carp myself. There's a lake near here thats stuffed full of 8-10lb commons who love floating dog biscuits. I'm told that a plastic imitation floating dog biscuit works well.
