| First Carp of the year I'm pretty much a dyed in the wool Lure fishing nut these days, and I haven't posted on these boards recently. However I put away my shiny bits of metal and plastic for a change and had my first short session on my local "little" lake. It was an after work session so i only had about two hours, and the wind was blowing very cold across the water, so i chose a sheltered swim and fed some halibut pellets into a very tight area under an overhanging bush. bsically nothing happened for about an hour and a half, but just as i was about to freeze, the float bobbed once then sailed away and I connected with a very feisty 8lb common. Not the most spectacular fish in the world, but nice to get a fish in my first bait fishing session of the year!
