| Coombe Lake 2 April 2008 Dusted off my coarse fishing tackle and tried for some freshwater points to help Steve. I visited a local Lake near Langport in Somerset. It's a Club water on the Langport AA ticket. The horseshoe shaped Lake is stocked with Carp, Tench, Roach, Rudd and Bream and over the years I've had Carp to 17lbs, Tench to 6lbs and Bream to 7lbs. This is the view up the left arm of the lake:  This is the view up the right arm of the lake:  This is all I managed:  A plump little Perch probably about 8ozs. Caught on a 6 metre Whip with single red maggot on a size 16. Sorry about the thumb in the picture but it's been so long since I caught anything I've forgotten how to take pictures!
