Question anyone started piking yet ?

anyone out there done any piking yet?,i couldn't resist a quick session, the rain had stopped and decided to have a couple of hours on the kentish stour, just wandered round with a spinner or two, needless to say it started raining the moment i got there, got absolutely drowned but had some sport, got a couple of jacks quite quickly and a nice one of about 12lb at dusk, finished due to lack of light and borderline hyperthermia, the only disappointment was that i lost my favourite plug,an abu hi-lo ,had it for more than twenty years, not sure you can get them now, does anyone know.

Re: anyone started piking yet ?

i was using a bright yellow spinner-bait for most of the day, havn't used them before but caught on them early on,that gives you confidence,i seem to fish better with a lure when i am confident in its catching ability, thats why losing my abu hi-lo was such a blow,i had caught many fish with it,it was my-when all else fails lure, know what i mean?
