 Pre-France Shakedown 2008  Well the France trip in September will soon be here & after chatting to a few members of this years expeditionary force, the general concensus is the we should have a Pre-France meet to sort out tactic's , rigs & who's buying the drinks etc?  I am proposing that we meet at Linear again the same as last year as this is reasonably central for those travelling from the west & the east of the country. I'm also proposing that we go in May, as March was a tad chilly last year. However May has two bank holiday weekends & Linear will be crowded during these. So I would suggest that we opt for the weekend of 10th - 11th May, or my personal favourite option 17th - 18th May. I think this is the preferred option because if we go on the 10th - 11th, the water will have been hammered during the previous week due to the bank Holiday. What do other members think or has anyone got any other suggestions? Obviously you do not have to be going on the France trip to attend. If all goe's to plan, this could be a very good Forum meet in it's own right.  Personally I would intend to fish from midday Friday until midday Sunday, however others may wish to stay longer.
