Parked my truck up for a break next to the River Ely at Ely Bridge Cardiff today. Saw a guy there cutting back some trees & obviously clearing swims for fishing, so I went accross for a chat. The river here looks really nice. He said it's free water & contains a real mixed bag of fish. Chub, Roach, Bream, Perch, Grayling, Dace, Trout, Seatrout, Salmon, the occasional Zander & even the odd flounder. Think I might take a drive down there some time & give it a try. Has anyone else on the Forum fished there or know anything about it? __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey... |

| Re: River Ely Cardiff Yes I saw the bit about the Barbel too. It certainly looks an interesting bit of water. I know what you mean about watching where you park the car. I spend a lot of my time working for insurance companys collecting cars that have been stolen & burnt out by the Viet Taff.... LOL Has the Barrage made much difference to the runs of migratory fish such as Seatrout & Salmon? I'm worried what will happen if they make the big barrage right accross the Bristol Channel & what effect it will have on rare species like Shad... __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey... |
