Re: Storm lures for Pike

Cheers

They are 4 inch jelly minnow that look like a minnow and have rattlers inside come in white nature silver and others

they are jerkers so cast out , go to the depth you want then reel in twitching the rod as you do - I have had a play with them and they have a very good action in the water when you jerk them but not if you just reel in

we will see

Re: Storm lures for Pike

Well , went pike fishing with storm lure - As soon as I got there the weather changed to rain

Waited 15 mins but no change so I thought as I had come here I might as well spend 15mins getting wet

So using the white storm minnow lure , I had a bit of a practice at my feet getting the speed and jerking required to get the most out of the storm lure

Must say brill action in the water just like a fish in big trouble .

So with it coming down in buckets and already being wet through I cast out

5mins later and thump - pike on

With the action of the storm lure the pike really hit the lure very hard so a word of warning - set your clutches with these lures . I all was use braid line when lure fishing so I was sorted

After a bit of a fight , in came a little 5lb jack pike in perfect condition

Quick photo and then back in went the pike

The rain was to bad and after another 5 mins gave up and came home

If weather is ok tomm.. will give them ago on the river avon

OH ... once I find the cable for the camera I will post picture

Yes , there action is fantastic and would be great fishing of rocks for bass and pollock

I use them with no lead just a wire trace and can cast 30 -40 yrds on a full spool which is plent far enought for the waters I fish

I must admit I was given some to try them out and see how they fish .

They will be great for pike pearch and zander
