| Re: A Cold Day On The Upper Kennet Hi Claudia, having now fished Barton Court, I'm pleased I'm (we're) fishing Lower Denford on Saturday. There's less "other" fish at Denford but I reckon we'll do well with the grayling. They're a little smaller in average size but I reckon there's more of them. Travel very light, but pack a fixed spool reel as well. Last year a couple of the guys had a lot of grayling from the really shallow stretches by touch ledgering (almost freelining) with a couple of SSG shot just bouncing along the gravel. Too shallow for normal float fishing except maybe using a "Trent Trotter" type set up (bit technical but I'll show you on Saturday!). Looking forward to it. __________________ "I'm playing all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order" Eric Morcambe |

| Re: A Cold Day On The Upper Kennet Thanks for the tip Neil, might have to do light ledgering anyway if my shoulder isn't getting better. Trent trotter?????? what's one of them???? __________________ There is certainly something in angling that tends to produce a serenity of the mind." - Washington Irving |
