Re: fishing in cornwall

A lot of anglers on another forum I use rate this as the best fishery they've been to. Not fished it myself and don't know if it is residents only but the website seems to suggest that some areas are for lodge residents only while others are available to pleasure anglers too. I have asked the question on the other site I mentioned as I know there are quite a few who fish there. Didn't realise it was a Parkdean caravan site, wish I'd got a caravan there now lol

Iv fished it before in my course days, its day ticket aswel but as pross said i think some lakes are only for people staying there

Thats probably a good place to start as they have so many lakes so you have plenty of choice

Re: fishing in cornwall

Where in Cornwall are you staying - there are plenty of coarse fishing venues around, some obviously better than others - we're just going into a cold spell with North easterlies forecast so not the best fishing weather I'm afraid.

Re: fishing in cornwall

B.K. Fisheries
GREEN LANE, ST ERTH, HAYLE
CORNWALL TR27 6HP
TEL:07919 130244

B.K. Fisheries is situated in the beautiful and tranquil valley of St Erth in West Cornwall. The proprietors have installed toilets, car parks close to each lake, level paths, and easy access for disabled, elderly and young anglers alike.
The fishery consists of two lakes:
Bills Pool - a mature lake of some 2.5 acres, the home of massive bream shoals, with some fish well into double figures, carp to mid teens, and a variety of tench, crucians, roach, rudd, perch, and eels.
Billys Pool - a new lake of around 1.5 acres, newly dug out some two years ago, heavily stocked with common and mirror carp to mid teens, and bream to 6lbs, again with a variety of roach, rudd, perch, eels.

One of the differences on this coarse fishery is help, the fishery has a full time Sport England Coach, and bailiffs that are also top anglers, who know the methods and baits to help you catch that biggest fish or that personal best catch.
The fishery caters for all types of anglers - whether its pleasure fishing, junior fishing, angling festivals / match fishing, this site has it all - matches are every Thursday evening, juniors matches on Saturdays, and senior matches on Sundays - please phone. Please note, we do not close our fishery if there is a match on, pleasure anglers always get priority.

The fishery is open 7 days a week, gates open at 8.00.a.m. and close at 9.00.p.m. (closing time is flexible). The fishery offers day permits for all types of anglers, evening permits, weekly, and a local yearly membership.
Fishing festivals are open to all types of anglers, these are usually held in May and September. Fishing holidays can also be booked through us and we offer a variety of local accommodation to suit your requirements, whether a group of anglers or a husband and wife, we cater for all. All fishing permits are included in your holiday.

Fishery rules and bait limits are available at the fishery. We have a selection of bait and tackle at the fishery for your convenience.
This is the about the nearest course fishery to Helston - about a half hour drive - its easily accessible and in quite a nice setting.
White acres is a bit further - if you go on the EA website and check out the SouthWest it will give you a few more
