Back to the river

Now the water level has gone down on the rivers, Mike and I decided to fish the Hampshire Avon tomorrow in search for chub, roach and anything that comes along.

It'll be our first time to fish the stretch at Brittford, so we are not sure what to expect.

I heard they are some small Barbel in there too....but I will leave those for another day.

The main aim tomorrow though, is getting to know the stretch, to find out what species are about and where.

So light travelling, as there is quite a bit of walking involved


Did I just say 'light travelling' lol......I'm just watching Mike packing......will he ever learn lol.

I intend to do some trotting, with some old fashion bait, maggots, hemp, tares and the good old bread flakes.

Will be interesting to see how it fishes after all the floods as up here theres more fish in the fields than the rivers

i wonder how long its going to take the severn to recover as you say lots of fish dead in feilds and what a terrible smell
