| Bury Hill 2nd August 2007 Dave and I met at 11am ready for another bash at the Old Lake at Bury Hill. Dave has never caught a carp there and I haven't since May 2006, so were hoping for the best today. We decided to fish pegs 74 & 75. which is a real trek around the lake but was worth it when we got there as it was nice and quiet:   Before setting up, Dave showed me his winning swingers!:  We both fished for carp, but sadly they weren't playing ball today. Try as we might we just couldn't get them in the feeding mood. It appeared to be the same for most anglers around the lake. Dave float fished for a while and got 3 bream:  and a crayfish!:  Sadly, I had left the stove at home!  We packed up and left at 8.50pm, scratching our heads about how to conquer this place: Still, it was another good social and it was a pleasure to fish with you again Dave      |

| Re: Bury Hill 2nd August 2007 Shame no carp but still great to be out on the lake. If they were that easy at Bury it wouldn't feel as great when you do bank one. Last time I was there my skinny legs almost gave up at peg 60 with the weight of my gear so I know how you felt going round even further! I would get a barrow but it wouldnt fit in my car. Better luck next time mate. James |
