| lime kilns exeter (in search of points) well the original idea was to fish the culm but was like chocolate after the recent rain, so change of plan met up with phill this morning in the hope of a bream or two for the species hunt at the lime kilns weather was good and we had the whole area too ourselves so being lazy sods we set up right by carpark ![]() weather was ok with showers predicted rods were set out and as we fished the clouds bubbled up giving great reflections ![]() anyway fishing on the bottom only brought us in weed, weed and more weed not a bite so we had float rods out and played with the very obliging perch and rudd, almost all bites on drop no more than rod lengths out end of days play phills keepnet had a good selection of perch up too nearly a lb ![]() we had planned to fish till 7ish but the thunderstorm that hit us at 2pm sort of changed our mind and it was then we were glad we were by carpark as well ![]() so quick calls to other halves and racing back for kids we both ended up having had a good social day, no points for the hunt, but brownie points for getting back early we will be back for the bream dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives Last edited by pingu; 06-23-2007 at 06:19 PM. |

| Re: lime kilns exeter (in search of points) Looks a nice spot. That cold wind yesterday probably didn't help your chances with bream.
