Todber Manor HELP!!! http://www.todbermanor.co.uk/SPECIMEN_LAKE.html I will be fishing at Todber Manor in September for a mates stag night! We have hired the lake for two days and expect we will have a little wager over the two days! I haven't done any fresh water fishing for a good 3 years now as I always found the lakes I fished too easy. I have been sticking to the sea fishing as I find it more of a challenge. The trouble I have now is I have forgotten alot of what I knew so could do with a few pointers! I would love to out do the guys im fishing with as they are all keen fresh water guys and I am the under dog as such (I might have give them abit of stick in the past as well!). The best way I used to connect with Carp in the lakes I fished was by setting up two rods with bait runners and hair rigs, stick on a few trout pellets and kick back and relax whilst waiting for the alarm to go nuts! I would normally bait my swim with a smaller pellet of the same variety and use a larger pellet as a hook bait. I will no doubt take a few more baits with me but have no idea what. Has anybody fished the lakes here and could recommend a good tactic to adopt or any other advice that may help me keep up with the guys im fishing along side. Pegs are going to be drawn so I can't pick my swim. __________________ http://bagstar-birdsnests.blogspot.com/

Re: Todber Manor HELP!!! I have fished a couple of the lakes there, they all have different favourite baits not fished paddock lake yet. but the other lakes respond well to halibut pellets on a bait band

Re: Todber Manor HELP!!! Thanks for the help. Are there any other fresh water forums where I may get a better response to my question from more locals? I have never searched for fresh water forums so have no idea. __________________ http://bagstar-birdsnests.blogspot.com/
