| First midweek overnighter - big hit !! What with girlfriend and kids taking up my time at weekends (not to mention hordes of anglers taking all the swims up) decided to start doing nights inbetween work, lovely, only me and my mate on the lake. Turned up, saw him opposite so mooned him hehe had a fresh wind blowing into my swim carp topping so let them have some grub, 3 wind knots later finally sorted new spod reel out, into town to get sausage and batter and chips rods out and sat listening to the footie  One of those nights really, rods kept going every 30 mins or so, fish boshing over my bait, banging the bouys about, they were loving the lack of anglers, Had a missed run, then a hookpull (arghhh !!) then this one (excuse the dopy photo) 21lb2  Then another hook pull, thankfullly banked the rest, man they fight like hell the 22lb was the strongest fish ive hooked, took me 25 mins to land just wouldnt give up. 20lb4  22lb4   Then this at dawn - 20lb 10   Then lost one on a bouy as i was packing up - 4 twenties and 3 lost, me mate had 1 fish was well chuffed, think ill leave the weekends to everyone else __________________ Cheers Mike     |

| Re: First midweek overnighter - big hit !! all cracking looking fish well done! i have to agree with the midweek bit i tend to go midweek between shifts as i know i will be the only person there its great the whole lake to do what you please! all for the same price __________________ fishing for fish is not as simple as you may think! |
