carping @ creedy lake, new forum record?? 1/5/7

well mrs ping was a bit late back so got to creedy about 5.30 paid the £3 and then met a guy who said that he had been there 10 hours for nowt as all the fish were (as they say in the Sims, having whoo hoo...spawning ). well i had paid now, he also told me most fish were showing on left bank past boat house, so off i trotted
well everyone was on this bank and all said were blanking , so ended up going right arround to back of lake and had whole area too myself



set up fairly quickly and out went 1 rod out with chilli boilie where all the fish were sunbathing
sent other rod near tree on right, on maggot and maggot feeder as they also have big tench here (later switched to crab and miussel boilie).

meantime set up other rod(1.75lb barbel rod{ next time will take right reel though}) hopeing to be able to get them top feeding

well nothing was doing but noticed quite alot of activity right by my feet of swim , including a couple of big tails flicking about, so I loose fed a few maggot and changed barbel rod to a waggler with size 8 hook and 8 maggot
lowered gently, float slowly moved left, stopped , then bit more
then dipped , I struck and YESSSS the fish was on ..then the fight was on
and after a bit i believe thet a new forum record for common carp is mine

so big it didnt even regester on scales
greedy little sod

after that had 3 or 4 more about same size
but nothing came to ledger rods, I still have yet to catch on a boilie , (better do in france )
