| The three days fishing at my local lake report Three days fishing at Crockerton – By Warmit63 (AKA Bananaman63) I arrived at Crockerton on the Thursday morning at 6:30am; I had the whole lake to choose from. After careful consideration I decided to fish peg one. Well after a couple of hours I had my bivvy and all my other equipment ready and so began the three days of fishing with all the anticipation building up inside of me. Thursday 18:30: not a single bite, not even a twitch. Desperation was setting in. so I said to my self sod it, spod up the fishing areas and wait for the bites. 20:30 – yes my first fish a small Tench of 2lb came to the net. The next job was to take a photo for the points; NO I had left my camera at home. A quick phone call, requesting that someone drops my camera off to me on the Friday. 12:30 there I was fast a sleep in my bivvy and my bite alarm was screaming, still half a sleep I ran out side in my boxers and socks and struck. I was rewarded with another Tench but this time around 41/2lb, but curses still no camera, and very cold feet and other unmentionable parts. With the air temp down to 1oc I decided to bring the rods in a get good night’s sleep. Saturday started fishing at 9:00am over slept, same again as the day before no bites. My camera was then brought down to me, only to find that the batteries were almost flat, I was having a nightmare. 14:30 – Sod it thought back to what I know, I set up my two barbell rods with open ended feeders and decided to fish corn and worm, I was rewarded with 12 fish over the day all bream and the biggest was 5lb and the smallest 1 1/2lb. but as said my camera batteries were flat and didn’t have any spare. As it got dark I came of the feeder and went back to bollies for the carp. This time I left my rods out all night, and my reward for doing this, yep you guest right, Nothing As Saturday came I felt so disheartened and with the lake filling up with other anglers I decided to go home. Oh well the days away on my own were nice and it was very relaxing as well. Looking forward to my next trip and hopefully catching as well __________________ Born to fish made to work |

| Re: The three days fishing at my local lake report Unlucky with the carp Steve, looks a nice place. Atleast the tench and bream played ball and you managed a bit of action. Perhaps you running out half naked in the middle of the night put the carp off? ![]() __________________ Dan `·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸ Big or small, look after them all! ¸.·´¯`·.¸ ><((((º> |
